Jr's car is a street car that was built to have fun in. The bottom end consists of stock crank, forged eagle rods, and forged wiseco pistons. The top end has ported heads with larger valves, comp cams rockers and a mild cam. The upper and lower intakes are both stage 3 port work. Natually aspirated the car dynoed at 177hp at the wheels through a bad transmission.
After the TMA turbo kit was put on, along with 60lbs injectors, a built c4 transmission, and a stock 8.8 with 3.55 gears. The car was brought to Speedy's Dyno for tuning and at 15.6 psi made 448 rwhp.The boost is currently set at 20 psi and yielded the 10 sec pass above.
This years mods include an Alky Injection kit supplied by Alky Control, further dyno time will be needed. Jr will be running 100% methanol with no water added. This will help raise the octane rating on the fuel so race gas will not be needed. A set of Weld Draglites will also be added to help reduce rotational mass.
Well new numbers are in, Jr's car laid down a healthy 601 rwhp at 20psi and methanol spraying.
